How we can help

We offer a compassionate approach and aim to help patients make an informed decision regarding their care. We provide them with a consultation and a clear description of their treatment options.

Common Conditions

Disc Degeneration

When discs degenerate they may protrude and irritate the nearby nerves contributing to pain, numbness and/or weakness in the arms or legs.

Spinal Canal Stenosis

Spinal canal stenosis refers to narrowing of the spinal canal in the neck or back. This can lead to numbness, pain, weakness or incoordination in the arms or legs.

Spondylolisthesis

When one vertebra slips forward over another, a condition known as spondylolisthesis, back and leg pain may be associated.

Common Procedures

Lumbar Microdiscectomy

Lumbar microdiscectomy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to treat lumbar disc protrusion. A small incision is made in the skin to remove a small amount of the bone behind the nerves of the spine. The protruding disc irritating the nerve is then removed.

Lumbar Laminectomy

Lumbar laminectomy is an operation performed to treat narrowing of the spinal canal, spinal canal stenosis, causing compression and irritation of the nerves leading to leg weakness, pain and/or numbness.

Lumbar Fusion Surgery

Lumbar fusion surgery is performed to stabilize adjacent vertebrae. Lumbar fusion surgery is commonly performed for the treatment of spondylolisthesis, in which one vertebrae has slipped forward over another.

Posterior Cervical Foraminotomy

Posterior Cervical Foraminotomy is a minimally invasive procedure to treat cervical radiculopathy (arm pain, weakness and/or numbness) secondary to nerve compression in the neck.

Cervical Laminectomy

Many patients with cervical myelopathy have canal stenosis, which may be treated with cervical laminectomy. This procedure involves removal of bone from behind the spinal cord, to remove pressure from the cord.

Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion

Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion is an operation in which a small incision is made in the front of the neck, to remove a herniated disc compressing the nerve/and or spinal cord and replace it with a cage and plate.
